Finnish knife, produced in 1919
Estimated condition: 2 of 5
This knife was designed by famous Finnish artist Akseli Gallen-Kallela. The grip is steel with two wooden sheets fixed with two screws. The wooden part is in a good condition and the metallic part has some scratching at the top. The crossguard is turned down. The blade is still bright though it has wearing marks. There is a manufacturer stamp at the blade’s heel and the stamp was made over. The scabbard saved its original black lacquer covering, partly shabby. The leather loop also has some wearing marks. Full length: 255 mm, blade length: 148 mm.
